Free time is a valuable resource that we often underestimate. What do you do with it? Do you use it to watch series, read books, engage in sports, or simply relax?

Regardless of your preferences, it is crucial to recognize that free time can have a significant impact on your life. Proper time management is essential for achieving goals and maintaining a personal life balance, including the effective utilization of your free time.

Recognizing its importance, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has launched a free course designed to help you make the most of your free time.

The course, titled “Free Time: What’s It For? I Don’t Have Time!” is a 12-hour program that aims to raise awareness of the importance of free time in personal life.

It is led by Lic. Julieta Hernández Hernández and is available on the UNAM’s Aprendo+ platform, which offers a wide range of free and self-paced courses.

The course content is structured into three modules:

  • Module 1: What Is Free Time? This module explores the definition of free time and its relevance to our daily lives.
  • Module 2: Free Time Throughout History. Here, we analyze the evolution of the concept of free time throughout history and its influence on society.
  • Module 3: How to Consider Time in Our Lives. In this final module, practical tips are provided to optimize the use of free time and achieve a healthy life balance.

UNAM’s Aprendo+ courses are open to the general public, and enrollment is straightforward. Each course is tailored to the learning needs of students, offering a self-guided and enriching learning experience. Participants can complete activities at their own pace and perform self-assessments to track their progress.

If you are looking to make the most of your free time and learn how to manage it effectively, this UNAM course could be an excellent choice.
