With this in mind, the NGO Generation Colombia, in partnership with SumUp, the global fintech specializing in financial solutions for small businesses, announces a free course designed to provide participants with the skills needed to enter the field of programming.
This technical and professional training program aims to bridge the gap between the labor market’s needs and the aspirations of young individuals.
To access this course, it is essential to follow the registration instructions accurately to avoid profile duplication, as this could lead to the rejection of the application.
The specific requirements for participants are as follows:
- Being of legal age.
- Residing in the Metropolitan Region of Bogotá or Medellín.
- Being available full-time during all training weeks between November and March, except for the December holiday period.
- Being willing to work immediately after graduation.
- Holding a high school diploma (with a title).
- Not currently being employed formally.
- In the case of being a foreigner, having a work permit.
At the end of the selection process, document validation will be required, including a scanned copy of the identification document, the work permit in the case of being a foreigner, and a copy of the high school diploma.
The selection process includes several important tentative dates:
- Opening of the application process: October 2nd.
- Closing of the application call/link for new applicants: November 3rd.
- GenLive (Online informative live session): October 19th.
- Assignment and online interviews: Between October 23rd and November 10th (only for individuals who meet the requirements and achieve the best results).
- Day 0 / inaugural: November 17th (time and format to be confirmed).
- Start of classes: November 20th, 2023 (online).
- Program completion date: Early March 2024.
