The Carlos Slim Foundation has launched a specialized course addressing the pathophysiology of obesity and providing key tools for healthcare professionals.
“Prevention and Management of Obesity” is the name of the Slim Foundation’s course, which is available through its online platforms Aprende.org and Capacítate para el Empleo.
This course aims to deepen understanding of the pathophysiology of obesity. The training equips individuals to calculate body mass index, design nutritional and physical activity plans, provide emotional support, administer medications, and address complications associated with the disease.
The course consists of two lessons presented in a series of videos and practical activities. At the end of each lesson, there are assessments to check your knowledge, and if you achieve a minimum of 80% correct answers, you will receive a FREE certificate.
This certificate is endorsed by recognized entities such as the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition “Salvador Zubirán,” the Mexican Society of Public Health, and the Carlos Slim Foundation.
