The importance of effective written communication has never been as evident as in today’s world, where digital media interaction has become the norm.
It is essential to express ideas clearly, precisely, and coherently, not only to adhere to linguistic norms but also to project a professional and competitive image.
Poor spelling and writing can lead to misunderstandings and, at times, rejection by readers. How can these crucial skills be improved?
The Carlos Slim Foundation has answered this question by launching a free online course titled “Orthography and Writing.”
This initiative, available through the Capacítate para el Empleo and Aprende.org platforms, aims to provide people with the necessary tools to enhance their written communication.
The primary goal of the course is for participants to learn and apply basic spelling and punctuation rules while developing the ability to identify essential sentence elements and write clear and organized texts.
This course consists of three lessons designed to address the most relevant aspects of spelling and writing.
Topics include syllable division, accentuation rules, correct spelling of confusing words, proper use of punctuation marks, capitalization, lowercase letters, as well as the basic structure of a sentence and text organization.
The training is delivered online, using infographics, videos, and practical activities to reinforce learning. At the end of each lesson, an assessment test is conducted to measure student progress.
Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate validating their learning.
