SQL, known as Structured Query Language, is an essential programming language used to interact with relational databases.
Since its certification by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in 1986, it has become a crucial tool for companies managing and manipulating large volumes of information efficiently.
Its versatility allows for a wide range of tasks, such as queries to retrieve specific information, insertion and updating of records, table creation, and procedure definition.
A report by Dataquest underscores that SQL knowledge is the most requested skill in jobs related to data processing. Over 40% of positions in this field require competence in SQL to perform essential tasks.
